Share your joy!

To celebrate ten years serving our community, Point of Pride is traveling the country to produce a series of short films, photographs, and reels showcasing the joy that comes with gender-affirming care.

Sharing your story is a powerful opportunity to change minds, create hope, and celebrate the lives of the millions of trans and gender diverse people across the U.S.

Who we’re looking for:
  • Recipients of any Point of Pride program
  • Individuals interested in sharing their story to inspire others
  • Availability in mid-May for one day of filming
What you can expect:
  • A safe, supportive, and collaborative process
  • Compensation for your time
  • A small team (2–4 people) traveling to your hometown to spend time with you and film your story
  • 2–3 ZOOM calls to connect with the Point of Pride team in advance of the production date

Filming will take place in your hometown, where we'll spend roughly 5-6 hours at your home and/or other locations that carry special meaning to you.

We also welcome friends or family members whose support has been especially significant throughout your journey.

David Rice

he/him

I’ve worn many hats over the years, identifying interchangeably and often concurrently as a musician, photographer, composer, producer, digital designer, and filmmaker. On especially good days, like today, I fancy myself an artist.

I've been told I bring to the table a cocktail of imaginative insight and creative execution, each of which I enjoy immensely.

My clients are primarily foundations and nonprofits, though I do occasionally still work with consumer brands (most of whom are secretly hoping to be mistaken for a foundation or nonprofit). I'm sensitive to the unique politics of each, and have a knack for ticking the boxes without compromising the work.

Along the way I've earned a Clio Award, two Emmy nominations, and, by admittedly tenuous association, a Grammy nomination—welcome consolations for the plenty projects that never got off the ground!
